Senior Manager of Talent, Learning and Leadership

BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), owner and operator of BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre, is currently searching for a Senior Manager of Talent, Learning and Leadership to join our team.  This important new role will report to the Vice President, People, and acts as a key part of the HR leadership team responsible for people strategy and programs at PavCo.

As the Sr. Manager, Talent, Learning and Leadership you will lead the development and implementation of an integrated set of talent, learning and organizational development strategies and programs that foster the desired organizational culture and leadership capabilities essential to the achievement of PavCo’s business objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Partner with executives and senior leaders to understand PavCo’s talent, learning and leadership related needs; provide thought leadership, direction, design and execution of talent, learning and leadership solutions to enable PavCo’s business strategy.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of talent engagement, performance, succession, assessment, learning and other talent and career development programs.
  • Support a “leadership at all levels” approach through the design and implementation of a leadership development strategy.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of such programs and their return on investment to the organization.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Over 7 years relevant specialist experience
  • Deep subject matter expertise in human resources or organizational development
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Education, Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology or similar.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to understand attitudes, interests, needs and perspectives communicated both verbally and non-verbally
  • Strong project management skills along with the ability to lead and influence business transformation efforts
  • A leadership approach that inspires trust and builds constructive and supportive relationships 
  • Dedication to cooperative team dynamics; commitment to customer satisfaction, enjoys working with people from all levels of the organization
