Payroll and Benefits Administrator

On behalf of our client, a global leader in venue development, marketing, and management, we are currently seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator. This person would be a part of a two-person Payroll and Benefits team, reporting to the Manager of Payroll and Benefits.  The office is located in downtown Vancouver and is highly transit accessible.

As the Payroll and Benefits Administrator you will be responsible for full-cycle payroll and benefits administration for an organization of just under 1000 staff. The successful candidate will be a Certified Payroll Professional and a customer service-oriented, efficiency-minded, self-starter, ready to make a big impact in a friendly and inviting work environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Processing bi-weekly union and non-union payroll
  • Adhering to a union collective bargaining agreement
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year‐end analysis and reconciliations
  • Seeking out areas for improvements in terms of systems and processes
  • Responding to internal and external payroll inquiries

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3-5 years of combined Canadian payroll and benefits administration experience
  • Experience with full-cycle payroll
  • Experience administering payroll in a unionized environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional customer service ability
  • Strong written and verbal professional communication skills
  • PCP designation or working towards quick completion
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM is a strong asset
