Payroll and Benefits Administrator

BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), owner and operator of BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre, is currently searching for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team. This key role will report directly to the Payroll Manager. As part of the Payroll Department, the Payroll & Benefits Administrator will administer the payroll and benefits function within a unionized and non-unionized environment, as the organization achieves its vision to be the global leader in outstanding venues and events.

  • Using your payroll and benefits expertise and knowledge, you will process a bi-weekly union payroll and a bi-weekly non-union payroll with 600+ employees using Ceridian Dayforce HCM.
  • Diligently ensure that payroll is accurate, and respond with urgency to discrepancies.
  • Prepare and execute non‐routine payroll functions (T4 preparation, electronic ROE generation, benefits reporting and, government reporting, garnishments, retroactive payments, reconciliations etc.).
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal employees by responding in a timely manner to any employee queries.
  • Work in partnership with HR, maintain electronic personnel files.



  • You will have certificate or diploma in Business, Finance, or Human Resources, combined with PCP designation or working towards completion.
  • You will have 1-5 years of experience processing full cycle Canadian payroll and 2-3 years of experience administering benefit and leave programs.
  • Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly express ideas, thoughts and concepts verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates must possess the following skills: sound judgement, exceptional customer service, strong problem solving skills, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
