DevOps Application Delivery Analyst

An award-winning software company is looking for a passionate and ambitious DevOps Application Delivery Analyst to join their Cloud Application Delivery Team in Edmonton Alberta! 

 

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Architect, your job is to build, maintain, and run through application delivery pipelines, automate deployment.  You will ensure the successful execution of continuous delivery through continuous testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment models defined by the product engineering team.  You will work closely with other software developers, product management and success team members to define, implement and monitor application delivery pipelines.

 

Select Responsibilities:

  • Automate and scale product deployment activities.
  • Use deployment pipeline technologies to manage the delivery of infrastructure and software technologies currently in use.
  • Build script that are part of deployment pipelines to automate manual deployment steps.
  • Manage the deployment process of upgrading multiple environments with tens of thousands of active users that are distributed amount multiple geographies including Canada, United State, Europe and Australia as well as numerous dedicated private/hybrid cloud customer environments.
  • Protect the stability of the infrastructure through consistency of builds and processes.
  • Define and implement alerts and metrics to monitor overall cloud environment health and stability.
  • Help in response to performance issues identified by alerting and reported incidents.
  • Keep the Success Team Manager informed of all deployment.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • You love using your grey-matter to analyze and solve complex problems.

  • You are a collaborative team member who maintains excellent communication with your team both verbally and in writing. 
  • You continually strive to deliver customer delight to your internal customers while leading with integrity.
  • Experience working on AWS in a production environment; Demonstrate strong hands-on skills in managing AWS. 
  • Technical experience working on supporting mission-critical production technology systems. 
  • Experience with AWS CLI / PowerShell tools. 
  • Experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell and Linux Shell. 
  • Experience with IaC using technologies like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or Chef/Puppet 
  • Experience with Continuous Deployment tools like OctopusDeploy, AWS CodeDeploy
  • Experience with change management processes. 
  • Experience with service-oriented applications with complex communication patterns. 
  • AWS Certifications of Associate or Professional - an asset
  • Experience writing complex dashboards, reports and alerts using Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud - an asset
