A successful Recruiting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the recruiting department and creating strategic recruitment plans, while establishing standard recruiting practices/ procedures. In addition, the Recruiting Manager will reinforce appropriate application of human resource policies, standards and procedures to ensure alignment with the organizations mission and values.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Create strategic recruitment and selection plan.
  • Oversees recruitment team for the Lower Mainland
  • Establishes standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures.
  • Recruits, trains and manages the Recruitment and administration team that oversees day-to-day recruitment activities.
  • Establishes key metrics for team members and follow up on results.
  • Works with Operations Managers to establish strategy and profiles of right fit candidates for client sites.
  • Manage recruitment and social media statistics and evolve strategies according to results.
  • Implement new sourcing methods; oversight of social media in regards to recruitment
  • Coordinate and implement 3rd party recruiting initiatives and collaboration with community partners.
  • Coordinate Site Startups to ensure proper candidates are selected for new clients.
  • Coordinates with department managers to forecast future hiring needs.
  • Coordinate company employment equity programs to achieve diversity goals.
  • Actively promotes programs to engage staff and set a positive culture in line with corporate values.
  • Manages, leads and fosters direct reports.

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • University Degree and/or College Diploma or certificate in Personnel Management, Business Management or  Human Resources.
  • Minimum of one to two years’ experience as a manager and leader in an operational setting combined with or in addition to working in the security industry or customer service field.  Recruiting experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to conduct dynamic sales presentations to clients; ability to effectively mediate and intervene in workplace, client and staff issues.
  • Demonstrated attributes in leadership, judgment, decision making, delegation, planning, organizing, problem solving, analytical skill, interpersonal sensitivity and tolerance are required.
  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills to review, evaluate, recommend changes and/or develop and implement new programs as requirements and customer needs change.
  • Fluent in computer based operating systems
