4th Class Power Engineer

Our Edmonton based client is currently in search for a 4th Class Power Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full time permanent opportunity and would required shift work on a rotating basis. As part of the Building Operations group, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall building maintenance for the organization and ensuring consistent operations within the facility. 


  • Operate and maintain the refrigeration system (compressors, cold storage, chillers, pumps, fans, coils, controls) within code requirement.
  • Operate and maintain boiler plant (shut-down, boiler inspection, replace parts) maintain necessary logs, perform boiler chemical tests, and add chemicals as necessary.
  • Utilize the Building Management Control System to operate, control, and manage various parts of the plant infrastructure.
  • Monitor and respond to plant alarms.
  • Perform routine & preventative maintenance tasks on plant energy equipment
  • Update maintenance logs and records.
  • Work with others to plan and coordinate the completion of work.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as needed.
  • Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.



  • Valid 4th Class Power Engineer ticket
  • You will be able to meet tight deadlines in order to resolve building issues in a timely manner.
  • You will do everything in your role to meet or exceed guest/client expectations.
  • Using your exceptional communication skills, you will be able to clearly express ideas, thoughts, and concepts verbally and in writing.
  • You must be physically and mentally fit to work with hand tools and at heights, as well as focus for extended periods.
